FAQ'S

OUR FOOD

Do you use British sourced ingredients?

Here at PetNatura, we are super proud of our British heritage and the amazing produce this country delivers so we are passionate about supporting British business and British farming in every way we can so ensure all our meat is responsibly sourced and 100% British.  Some of our vegetable products are sourced responsibly in the EU, but we are working to replace these with UK suppliers as soon as possible.

How much should I feed?

Per day, adult dogs need approx. 2-3% of their ideal bodyweight.  For puppies under 6 months, it’s approx. 6-10% of its weight and for puppies over 6 months it’s approx. 3-6%.  You may need to adjust the portion sizes either up or down depending on your pet’s weight and metabolism etc.  Use our handy calculator to work out how much your pet needs.

What's the difference between your Supreme and protein only pick 'n' mix range?

The Supreme range, a complete meal for convenience that includes a balanced mixed of protein and vegetables together with additional vitamins and nutrients.

Our Pick ‘n’ Mix range gives you the versatility to bring some variety to your pet’s mealtimes just like us humans prefer.    This range is made up of a main, side and treat, but don’t worry if you want to purchase any of these items individually, you can.

Can I buy items in the pick 'n' mix separately?

Yes, absolutely, you can buy any of the items in the Pick ‘n’ Mix range separately.

Is vegetarian food safe for dogs and cats?

Nutritionally balanced vegetarian food is safe for dogs, but is not recommended for cats as they need a diet enriched with taurine mostly found in meat.

Why should I choose to feed my pet a raw diet?

Some of the benefits of feeding a raw diet include:

A relaxed happy pet

Healthy and shiny skin and coat

Improved energy

Happier tummies

Smaller, less smelly poops

Improved hydration

Reduced itching and allergies

Better oral health and less smelly breath

How much water should my dog drink on a raw diet?

We recommend clean water is always available for your pets.  However, you may notice that your pet drinks less than when eating wet or dry food.  This is perfectly normal because our food is natural and therefore has a higher water content than wet or dry foods so your dog probably won’t be so thirsty.
